The maximum quantity in this marketplace is one (1) CandidateKey per person, per candidate. This will be enforced throughout the duration of the market and at hotel check-in. Buying a CandidateKey

After selecting your Candidate, you click Buy CandidateKey. This is different than making a bid.
Is my payment method charged immediately for purchasing a CandidateKey?
Yes, your method of payment is charged immediately for both bids and purchases.
How do I know which CandidateKey to purchase?
You can purchase a CandidateKey for any Candidate you would like. Your order will always transact at the lowest offer-to-sell price.
How are orders matched in the system?
An order will take the lowest price available at that time.
What are the transaction fees in the CandidateKey Marketplace?

Why did my order fail?
There are a few scenarios that could have led to a failed order:
-
You lost your internet connection. If so, please reconnect and try again.
-
You entered in the wrong billing information. Please double check your billing information and try again.
-
From the time you started your purchase to the time you finished it, the CandidateKey sold out at that price level. This is common during times of high traffic (i.e. closer to the election); it is also common that price will jump dramatically within that time. If this occurs, you must start the purchasing process over again. We will not offer CandidateKeys at a previously quoted lower price. In order to avoid this in the future, we recommend that you purchase a CandidateKey prior to high traffic events.
What happens if I have a pending charge, but did not receive a confirmation email?
If you did not receive a confirmation email, you did not purchase a CandidateKey. If your transaction failed, there may have been an authorization hold placed on your credit card for the attempted purchase of your CandidateKey. Please do not worry, the pending authorization will be removed by your bank within 3-5 business days. If you do not receive a confirmation email, you must go through the purchase process again whether you already have a pending charge or not.
Bidding on a CandidateKey
What is a bid and how is it different than buying CandidateKey?
Bidding on a CandidateKey does not mean that you own a CandidateKey. In order for your bid to become a CandidateKey your bid must be matched with an offer-to-sell. If your bid is not matched, you will not own a CandidateKey nor will you be eligible to purchase a room at the Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C. . You will get an email confirming this transaction. If you do not receive the email, you do not own a CandidateKey. You can cancel your bid and withdraw your money at any point before your bid is accepted (see the withdrawal section for wallet and withdrawal policies). Please remember, our markets are live 24x7. It is your responsibility to cancel bids before they are accepted.
Is my payment method charged at the time I place a bid?
Yes, your payment method is charged immediately for both bids and purchases. However, you can cancel your bid at any time prior to the market closing and those funds will be deposited into your 'Wallet' at which point you can use those funds towards other CandidateKey purchases or bids or elect to make a withdrawal. REMEMBER: you can only purchase a single (1) CandidateKey for a given candidate. You cannot purchase more than one (1) for a given candidate.
What happens if my bid fails to match an offer-to-sell?
If your bid fails to match an offer-to-sell, it will remain active until the market closes. If your bid has not been matched by the time the market closes, your money will be deposited into your wallet.
What happens to my bid if the market closes?
If your bid is not matched with an offer-to-sell by the time the market closes, your bid will fail and your money will be deposited into your wallet. Please check the wallet section for policies and guidelines.
What is the minimum bid I can make?
There is a $5 minimum, when placing a bid.
